Zagori is one of the most photogenic places in Greece.
Photographer Costas Zissis offers our guests the opportunity to enjoy an organized tour in nature and capture Zagori’s beauties. He has lived and worked in Zagori for more than 25 years, capturing the beauty of the area in an extensive photographic collection. With his expertise, Costas will take you to locations that provide ideal photographic opportunities.
Guests do not need to be highly experienced since Costas will constantly give his professional advice. For better results, guests are recommended to use a camera with manual settings and RAW format capabilities, DSLR or Mirrorless ILC. However, this is not essential. Carrying a tripod is also recommended, as it will help guests to create better quality images and allows higher control over framing and composition.
Two different tours are available:
The first tour gives guests the opportunity to explore nature and the landscape of West Zagori. The starting point of the tour is at Vikos village, where the entrance and the deepest part of the Vikos Gorge can be viewed and photographed. Next stop is Papingo village where you shouldn’t miss the chance to capture the scenic landscape and picturesque architecture.
The second tour focuses on exploring the architectural heritage of Central Zagori. The stone bridges around the village of Kipi and the preserved villages of Dilofo and Vitsa are worth photographing!
The duration of each tour is five hours and includes transfers with our van. There will be short walks over easy walking terrain to selected locations with the best views.
Costas will accompany the team, who will share his professional advice during the whole trip. Depending on the weather conditions, there could be some changes in the schedule.
A gathering will take place at the hotel, later on the day, where guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a presentation of the photographs taken during the tour and an open discussion about photography, with tips and advice on shooting and processing.
